The starter was good .... The rest, regardless of whether it was food, conditions or waiting times, was an absolute disaster .... It took forever to even take any order ... After more than an hour, the starter came ... The main course was not served to everyone at the same time ... By the time the last person got their meal, the first ones were already ready ... Totally disorganized ... Plates were only cleared by chance ... If you had the opportunity to do something else To order a drink, the empty glass was simply left standing. The table was accordingly full at some point .... When the bill was requested, it took over 30 minutes until the bill came .... And there were only three tables occupied, including ours .... Food left a lot to be desired, there was a lot of cheese on the pizzas and the base much too thin .... The panna cotta dessert was totally disgusting .... So, we won't be going there anymore ...

Warning! Food, drinks really great, nothing to complain about .... But! Waiters unfriendly, bottom cannon. The waiting times are far too long, eating for 4 people took 1 1/2 hours, we were about to leave. Had to wait half an hour until we could pay, just don't go, just avoid!

The service was very nice, the pizza dough was great, but the cheeses themselves were very fatty, rather poor quality.

An authentic piece of Italy in Dresden. The staff (Italians) very nice and friendly. The food was delicious and the prices are reasonable. I can only recommend this restaurant and will be back.

Very tasty food and courteous, friendly and fast staff! We had pizza and tagliatelle as well as salad - all excellent and chic! Food came quickly, warm and was extremely tasty! We seldom had such good pizza with so many delicious toppings. The only drawback: the somewhat noisy street when you sit outside! Highly recommended, we will be back.

We ate here two days in a row, the waitress knew exactly what we were drinking and eating. Very accommodating and friendly people. Pasta, pizza and salad are delicious. We felt like we were in Italy. Keep it up!!!

Cozy little restaurant. We had Penne Arrabiata and Penne Amatriciana. In addition the house salad "il Nonno". The portions are plentiful and we enjoyed it.

The service is really good and the food was delicious. The pizza calzone and the ribbon pasta with seafood were first class ... high praise to the kitchen! We would love to come back!

I want to reply to the last review. I disagree with what you wrote. I was in the restaurant with my friends that evening and saw how things went. They were rude to the cook and staff. 2 people yes You can also enter the kitchen, which is not possible in a restaurant. In any case, the grandfather's inn always remains one of the first restaurants in Dresden in terms of quality and professionalism. I add that there are not only 4 tables in the restaurant for at least 70 people.

The very last, unfortunately. After waiting two hours, eight out of ten people still didn't have their food. And there were only four tables in the restaurant. When asked, the only answer is that the other tables had ordered so much. The staff was also very rude and incompetent. After almost three hours four meals were still missing and on request we were then insulted by the boss and the waitresses.

I ordered 2 chicken pizza which cost 10.50euro each and shrimp which costs 18.5 euro. This is the worst ever pizza I eat in Europe. It was bread rolled out with tomato ketch up topping and small chicken pieces. Nothing else. Shrimps were smelling foul. I do not recommend this restaurant. None of them working speaks English. One star rating is for the little girl who spoke better than the owner. My review 0/5.
